Curriculum Overview

Greenwood-Molina Children’s Center is a child development center located in Corpus Christi, TX for ages 18 months to 12 years of age that is passionate about the development and growth of children. We aim to provide a well-rounded program that is sure to ignite young minds. Our hope, that this strong educational foundation paves the way for your child’s brilliant future.

The Frog Street Curriculum is the base for our program, allowing for age-appropriate learning for toddlers and preschoolers. Developed by leading educators, the Frog Street Curriculum was designed to help children have fun while learning. Being one of the few centers in the Corpus Christi area to have received the Frog Street Curriculum grant, we have been able to develop an environment where children can equate joy with learning and become lifelong learner.

Toddlers

Toddlers are always on the move, learning every step of the way as they explore the world around them. GMCC provides an enriched environment full of learning for our 18 months to 3 years of age.

The toddler program emphasizes learning through advanced sensory play with songs, stories, and games. Recognition and retention of sounds, shapes and patterns is just some of what our toddlers are taught. As they progress letters and numbers will be introduced.

Our experienced teachers strive to provide an environment that is engaging for learning opportunities, important for developmental skills which include problem-solving, coordination, and self-help. Each child will receive exceptional care and will be guided through age-appropriate learning that will promote their social, emotional and cognitive development.

Pre-School

Our Pre-Schoolers, 3 years to 5 years of age tend to blossom at this age and really come into their own. With improved cognitive abilities and social skills, a whole new world opens up for them. Our classrooms are strategically arranged in a way that promotes learning. Surrounded by purposeful play such as art enrichment, story time, sing along and so much more, your preschoolers are sure to be set for their school years.

Our Pre-school teachers carefully plan out their curriculum emphasizing daily interactive activities which encourage learning and socialization, all the while promoting kinder readiness. A strong educational foundation is set to ensure your child will be a lifelong learne

Schoolagers

Flexible care is offered for our school-age children, ages 6 years – 12 years. We offer after school care for children in and around the Corpus Christi community. After school pick up is offered to Garcia, Los Encinos, J.F.K., & West Oso Elementary.

Children enrolled in our after-school program will have the option to finish their homework in a quiet area or will be able to occupy their time with art and other activities. Once the time allauded for homework is complete, our school agers will be able to enjoy their time out in our school age play yard. Whether inside or out your child will always be encouraged to learn, explore and create.
